By the brook in New Hall Country Valley Park.

Usually running past it!

Wylde Green Road in the sunshine.

LOVELY!

This wasn't taken today but a wekk or so ago.

However, it cheered me to see such a lovely blue sky when it's that time of year again when its already getting dark when I leave school. At soon it will be dark when i leave the house in the morning.

First 'solo' run for a while today, and whilst I wasn't running very fluently, I didn't duck out at the first path to go home.

The beauty of the low autumn sunshine and the loveliness of the Country Valley Park kept me going. Not overly fast, admittedly, but I kept going.

Now to get back into the habit. Let's home autumn continues to help me and doesn't show its dark dank side.

Today was a typical British summer day - one minute glorious sun, the next, pouring rain.

I managed to (more or less) dodge showers to walk to the library and back to fetch a couple of library books I'd reserved.

Seemed appropriate on the day that libraries are being slated as out of favour and out of touch that I make good use of one to save me money buying a book that will be read within a day or two. Added to the financial benefit, our local one is shut due to asbestos but the next nearest is up a steep hill so I get exercise too!

This tree was shot on the way home through the Country Valley Park. It looked a bit fragile and weedy in the wind but was holding its own. Bit like the way I feel sometimes - about to be snapped in half if I don't dig my heels in!

Acorns!

Just watched Dragons Den on which a man was trying to get money to market a synthesised acorn mix to feed Ibérico pigs that produce Pata Negra jamón.

I prefer authentic ones - and I'm pretty certain the pigs would too ;o)

A beautiful sunlit picture - sums up a lovely day.

Today we have a number of photos rather than one.

I've been playing with Comic Life using 'old' photographs from the Country Valley Park. I then put them into iMovie and made the mini movie above. Hope you like it!

Took this whilst out running - just look at that sky!

Not bad considering I tried to keep running whilst taking it ;o)

I ventured to the other side of Wylde Green Road today - still the Country Valley Park, but not the bit I usually visit.

This tree stands opposite Bishop Walsh School and caught my eye as it looked so good against the clouds and blue sky. (Do you sense I like blue sky?)

Look at that blue sky!

Spring MUST be coming! Blue sky, branches with buds, and a little hint of warmth coming through.

Hurrah!

Happy Valentines Day.

Today's photograph was taken by my husband, John, as I have iPhone-itis in my right arm and am trying very hard to rest it.

We went for a walk this morning to enjoy the Valentines Day sunshine in the Country Valley Park. This branch belongs to a tree on the left bank of Plantsbrook and caught our eye due to the patches of bright green lichen. I also like the water beneath, reflecting the light.

Oh what a beautiful morning!
And a lovely afternoon too!

I went for a brisk walk this afternoon (in lieu of a run!) in the Newhall Country Valley Park. Once more I was struck by how fortunate I am to live so near to such a beautiful place for walking, running, cycling, dawdling!

It was good to be going at a pace more conducive to taking in the scenery in more detail - not that I run that fast! - and to be able to take photographs. I took some beauties - and am particularly proud of this one.

A striking tree and the sun going down. Lovely.
