One of many 'tree tunnels' in Gower.

Not bad picture considering it was taken through the windscreen!

An interesting a tree trunk.

Wonder what lives in there?

This tree is a useful tree!

It kept us dry in a torrential downpour.

NB not a good idea to shelter under a tree in a thunderstorm but this was just rain ;o)

What an amazing bit of tree!

Love the root pattern.

Don't you think that would make a marvellous 'potato print'?

More trees on beautiful Llanrhidian.

A row of trees near Weobley Castle with the salt marshes behind.

I'm a bit behind with my Trees365 blog, but having spent a few days in Wales, I have a plethora of trees to share.

Here's the first - the tree in the field in front of our cottage.

Today was a typical British summer day - one minute glorious sun, the next, pouring rain.

I managed to (more or less) dodge showers to walk to the library and back to fetch a couple of library books I'd reserved.

Seemed appropriate on the day that libraries are being slated as out of favour and out of touch that I make good use of one to save me money buying a book that will be read within a day or two. Added to the financial benefit, our local one is shut due to asbestos but the next nearest is up a steep hill so I get exercise too!

This tree was shot on the way home through the Country Valley Park. It looked a bit fragile and weedy in the wind but was holding its own. Bit like the way I feel sometimes - about to be snapped in half if I don't dig my heels in!

Today my boys are on a sleepover at my sister's house so Mr S and I went out for dinner then decided to check out the German Winefest we'd seen advertised as taking place in Victoria Square.

Proved rather more than disappointing but I took this lovely picture of the Ironman statue and trees so it wasn't a wasted trip up the hill from The Mailbox.

I love my acer.

The colour and shapes of the leaves are so beautiful.

Just caught it before the tree starts losing its leaves.

Beautiful tree in the garden.

Love the leaves.

I've photographed this tree before in its entirety.

Today I was captivated by this particular branch that protrudes all on its own, leafless.

Manchester Piccadilly stands behind today's tree.

I spent the afternoon in Manchester, auditioning puppets in the guise of a 9 year old French girl called Amee!

Today's tree is in Malvern Park, Solihull.

Love the way the leaves are all the way up the trunk too!

A second beautiful tree from the grounds of Malvern College.

Such a large beautifully spreading tree!

A visit to Malvern College and so many beautiful trees!

First up this week is a lovely pear tree.

Beautiful colours!

Today's tree comes from my 'archives' and was taken in April 2009.

It stands in the grounds of lovely Penrhyn Castle, just across the Menai Straits from Anglesey.

This is one of my favourite photographs - the flowers in the foreground, the tree and the puffy cloudy sky

Today's tree comes courtesy of Doug Dickinson and his friend Geoff who took the photo.

This tree stands on Hadrian's Wall, and the movie buffs amongst you may recognise it from Robin Hood Prince of Thieves.

Beautiful picture.

Back at Wyndley this morning.

Madly, I decided to go for a run when it was raining, cold, and, most importantly, I had a new haircut to preserve!

But I went and didn't do badly.

Tree was in the carpark.

I took youngest swimming yesterday.

This lovely lopsided tree is outside the swimming baths - and Jude pointed it out to me!

What a beautiful trunk!

Today's tree is not one of mine - it's from Flickr.

I've never been to New Zealand - but I'd love to go!

Such a beautiful picture.

Acorns!

Just watched Dragons Den on which a man was trying to get money to market a synthesised acorn mix to feed Ibérico pigs that produce Pata Negra jamón.

I prefer authentic ones - and I'm pretty certain the pigs would too ;o)

A beautiful tree captured on the way to GlastonBlaby.

Not a bad picture considering we were doing 40 mph at the time. (I wasn't driving I must add!)

I went for a long bike ride today as my normal run didn't seem a good idea after my yucky cold earlier in the week. Had to get off at this point as this bank is very steep (although the picture doesn't show it!) and the roots of this tree make steps down the hill. help when you're running but not when cycling!

I like the way that trees by the side of roads end up shaped a bit differently on the road side thanks to the cars brushing past!

Not really a tree today but an ex-tree.

Love the gnarled look of this tree stump seen on the way to Pear Tree Crêperie in Weeford.
