On the way back from church this morning I captured these yellow leaves above my head.

Still plenty of leaves to fall, but lots on the floor at my feet too.

Today's post is really self explanatory.

Thanks for the tweet and picture Steve!

A guest tree today all the way from Jersey.

Thanks to my lovely mate Chris who celebrates his birthday today at the end of a very trying week.

Enjoy yourself Cristobal, and thanks for the tree xx

Here's the tree at the top of our road, first seen in January (in fact it won Tree of the month!)

It's now looking rather autumnal. No walking past it this week as it's half term, but driven past several times, and pass it on my runs. It's where I actually start running after my warm up!

300 trees posted! On the home straight now.

Spotted this apple tree - complete with shiny red and yellow apples, at Mitchell's Craft Centre today when we popped in for a family cuppa!

Autumn got a bit damp today.

But this orange tree made me feel a bit more cheery!

First 'solo' run for a while today, and whilst I wasn't running very fluently, I didn't duck out at the first path to go home.

The beauty of the low autumn sunshine and the loveliness of the Country Valley Park kept me going. Not overly fast, admittedly, but I kept going.

Now to get back into the habit. Let's home autumn continues to help me and doesn't show its dark dank side.

Back from Nottingham, I went for a walk and hot chocolate in the park this afternoon with John and Isaac.

Liked the way the sun shone through the interestingly twisting branches of the tree. And also the carpet of red and orange leaves.

So fortunate to live so near such sights.

A range of trees from my window at NCSL.

And not one the same colour as the one next to it.

Just arrived at NCSL for eTwinning Ambassadors PDW.

This is the artwork on my bedroom wall.

They obviously knew I was coming!

Having watched a programme earlier in the week about a disease that is ravaging the oak population, I was rather anxious to check our beautifui old oak tree at school.

Pleased to say, I found no sign of the black gashes that characterise the malaise so no need to worry!

A very very cold day. But the sun shone!

I liked this shot, taken in the carpark by The Trinity Centre in Sutton Coldfield, as it has a lovely tree in the sunshine, with some interesting and very old gravestones as a wall at the base of the tree.

Another guest tree today, from Cheltenham College.

I took a photograph of this tree in April when I was at Apple Teacher Institute. Looked pretty bare then. Plucky little tree seems to be thriving now though - it's got leaves!

Look at the orange of those autumn leaves.

So bright and flamey. Makes me feel all poetic!!

I bet many people will recognise this 'look'.

I spent Saturday at Center Parcs with my sister and our families.

A great day - slightly spoiled by me losing my iPhone in the pool, but I got it back just as we left so all's well that ends well!

Stuck at roadworks, I took this photograph of a lumpy pruned tree.
One side shorn, the other leafy and long!

By the playground in Sutton park on a lovely day - taken after I'd run 10km race!

This is the first of two trees I'll post today.

Just noticed that I've managed to miss out September 30th from my postings so I'm a day behind numerically.

So, from the archives, here are some rather lovely sculpted trees at Packwood Hall taken many years ago. Those boys are now 11 and 8, and my hair is considerably shorter!

What a beautiful blue sky!

A lovely October day.

And a fine green tree - caught just before the leaves turn.

Victoria Park in the mist.

What a lovely atmospheric autumnal photograph.

Today's photograph is from my Flickr, Twitter, MFLTwitteratti mate, Laura.

Memories! When I was a child we lived in Berkhamstead and used to walk on Ashridge every Sunday. Such a beautiful place!

Lovely photograph Laura - and thanks for making me smile!

Another Camden Lock picture today, and another example of contrast.

Here, a contrast of light on the right bank and shade on the left bank.
And a rather good bridge and building to set off the two willows.

As I walked down to Camden Lock for a Links into Languages meeting at the Holiday Inn, my eye was drawn to this tree on the opposite side of the road.

I love the pink touches on the extremes of the branches. Such a beautiful colour!
