Today saw me travelling to London again.

This time i was visiting the Wellcome Foundation for #BectaX, ameeting of education and digital media as well as 'movers and shakers' to discuss 21st century eLearning.

Brilliant day! This tree was snapped on the way across from the station in the morning. Good job I took it then as I ran past on the way back to catch my train having chatted for too long!

This tree has been fascinating me every time i've driven past it , and today i got around to stopping and taking a photograph!

I've never seen a mistletoe ball before - i thought it only grew on big thick oak trees but there's one on a quite delicate tree!

I know where I'll be visiting at Christmas!

Trip to London today for some consultancy with the BBC about their Primary French and Spanish websites..

We met in a very funky bar called Zigfrid in Hoxton Square with all sorts of weird and wonderful things hanging from the ceiling! Then we moved on to Unit 9, the media company producing the content. Very exciting!

And in the square, there were some lovely trees. Took this one whilst I was waiting. Beautiful big tree in the middle of London.

Today's tree is another 'oddball' tree.

The Stevens' crew went to the Outdoor Show at the NEC today and came across this lovely papier mache cactus in the survival zone. Jude was hoping to buy it to put in his bedroom (the sign says it's up for sale) but was sadly disappointed by the reaction of his parents!

If he'd been given it, that would've been a different matter....funky coat-hanger?

Saturday morning at Language World.

A beautiful day and in the middle of learning lots!

York University.

Dodging goose poo.

Trying to decide which bridge we had to cross to find the bar.

Choose the prettiest. Sadly the wrong one!

And my camera was impotent to capture the true beauty of the willow trees draping across the bridge.

Best i could do!

(PS we did find the bar - and I can recommend winter fruits flavour J2O!)

Pretty little tree taken in York.

And that's about it!

This tree was taken on the way back from delivering some training to some Special needs teachers in the middle of Birmingham.

Liked the profusion of twigs on this one.

This tree is in the road next to my doctor's surgery. All the trees in the road have recently been 'pruned' - looked rather smart!

Snapped this quickly as I've had a rotten headache all day and have been taking it easy - and staying inside!

Today's photo was taken at the end of a 5.2 mile run.

Very chuffed with myself as I ran well and felt good so I stopped to take a photograph to celebrate at the end.

This tree caught my eye as it was such a wonderful shape. Sadly, as it was taken on my iPhone, you can't see the 'cyclops eye' in the middle of the trunk where it splits in two.

You wouldn't believe it was actually a sunny day - looks very moody and misty doesn't it?

Been a busy day today - Sport Relief miles this afternoon.

I ran past many lovely trees today in Cannon Hill Park - three times as I was doing three miles - but was sadly too focussed on running to stop and take photographs!

So this tree is another I can see from my back garden. Not in our garden but a neighbouring one, over the fence at the end. Looked lovely today with the sun on it and the blue sky behind it.

Very cross with myself.

I took this photograph at Pacific Nursery on the Chester Rd today, and figured that for once I'd be able to tell you the proper name for the tree. There was a helpful plaque underneath.... and I read it in my photograph! D'oh!!

However, it's a lovely tree. I was attracted by the dangly 'catkins' and also by the curly wurly corkscrew twigs.

I went to London today for a meeting at the Holiday Inn in Camden Lock.

I arrived early so had a little pootle around Camden Market and over the canal bridge, enjoying the view, and looking a proper tourist as I took photographs!

Captured, amongst other lovely shots, was this tree. A welcome bit of colour in a very pretty setting.

Love the cyclist that chose his jacket to match the tree ;o)

This is another guest tree, taken by Leon Cych aka @eyebeams in Kew Gardens.

I spotted it on his Facebook page and asked if he'd mind if I used it on Trees365, a request to which he happily acquiesced.

What a wonderful trunk - such twisted bark!

Today's tree is courtesy of my husband John.

Before he went away to Manila via Singapore, I asked him if he could take me a tree photograph for my blog.

This wasn't •exactly• what i was expecting....

Nonetheless, it is a tree, and it was taken on his travels.

There are trees outside in Singapore and the Philippines, aren't there?

Another beautiful sunny day - no bonfires today to spoil the fresh air, and the wind had dropped since yesterday.

I sat and drank my coffee with @johnbaxjs1 whilst sitting on the patio in our shirt sleeves. Bliss!

And then I ventured down the garden and discovered this tree. No leaves but dangly catkins.

Spring is nearly nearly here...

The twig like thing in the middle of the picture is my acer tree.

So beautiful when covered with its russet red leaves, but currently looking a bit forlorn and naked.

However, spring is coming... I can see the signs!

Today was Mothers day and we went for a family walk.

it was a beautiful day - long may they continue! - and i took my camera as usual in the hope of capturing a marvellous tree picture.

And I'm really pleased with this one.

The sky is pale 'sailor blue' as my Nan would say with puffy clouds, and the tree branches stand out so well against it. What really caught my eye about this tree was the curly finger-like nature of the twigs on the branches. So pretty!

I took this photograph this morning as I wandered around the conference area just after breakfast.

It was a third sunny day in a row in Liverpool, but the rays hadn't managed to get high enough to get over the BT Arena roof!

I chose this picture as the tree, despite being quite young and not very tall, is balanced against the big wheel.

Another guest tree today!

This one is from Joe Dale who took it on his wanderings around the Isle of Wight.

Joe and I are currently at the Primary Language Show in Liverpool - no big trees to be seen in the vicinity!

I had a meeting at Birmingham Children's Hospital today and stopped for a coffee afterwards.

I took this picture as I left Starbucks. I like the trees over the railings with the cathedral in the background.

I do hope spring continues like this!

Love this photo with the sun in the corner, and the sky so blue!

Another lovely day.

And another long run! That's three in four days after a long break. Felt much easier today.

So many times as I was running, i wished that someone had actually invented those contact lenses you see in spy films that take photographs as you blink. There were so many beautiful sights, including a duck walking on the icy lake then falling in!

Had to content myself with this tree at the end of my run. love the shadow!

Sunday was a beautiful day. Cold but sunny.

Both my boys were ill and went out in the garden for a breath of fresh air.

I took this picture of our magnolia (?) tree - it's got lovely fat buds on it!

Whoop!

Today's tree is a tree you might recall from earlier in the year.

It's our Christmas tree. And it was taken today.

It causes me to ask a few questions -

a)how is it still alive as it has no roots and has survived three heavy snow falls?
b)why is my Christmas tree still in my garden in March?
c) will it still be there in June?

Stay tuned and you'll find out!

Back at Wyndley Leisure Centre- this time at the running track rather than the swimming pool.

Friday is running group day - SEFitness keeps me running and pushes me to keep going on longer runs. And we did a long one this week. A very long one! Runkeeper tells me I did 8.67 km in 1 hour 4. I need to regain last year's speed though - I could do 10km in about 58 minutes then.

Another wacky tree today!

i was speaking at the Education Show this morning and saw this tree in the Cool Schools area, hosted by Stephen Heppell.

I'd like one of them. Wouldn't you?

Taken whilst waiting for the coach to arrive to pick up Yr6 and I from Wyndley after their swimming lessons.

Got a few funny looks from the children I have to say - 'Why are you taking pictures of a tree, Miss?' 'You've got a blog about TREES???'

I don't care. i like my trees!

This tree stands near my home, and always fascinates me.

It is completely swamped by ivy, and looks so odd with wispy red branches poking out from a thick covering of green parasitic ivy.

Oh what a beautiful morning!

As we set off up the road to school, I took this shot with my new camera, trying to catch the sky, the sun and the tree.

Not bad...
